Leela Palace Kempinksi Udaipur had a soft launch which is by the beautiful Lake Pichola with a breathtaking view of the Aravali Mountains.
The luxury hotel as 80 luxury rooms and is the creation of Jeffrey Wilkes and Bill Bensley which blends the grandeur of Rajathan's rich heritage. Huge domes, overhanging wooden balconies and agrand courtyard with flowering trees and fragrant landscaped garden create the ambience of this hotel.
The hotel has three restaurants, a lounge and bar and a 10,000 square foot spa. The opulent Maharaja Suite is huge at 3,500 square feet. The suites are large too at around 1,000 square foot.
Executive Chef Karim Hassene from France offers a menu of dishes prepared with ingredients from Leela's organic garden at The Dining Room which is open for 24 hours. There is a walk-in wine cellar. Sheesh Mahal, the rooftop restaurant will also be opening soon.
The Leela Palace Kempinski Udaipur will have its grand opening in October. The hotel is offering an inaugural package which starts at Rs 31,000 for a couple for two nights and three days.
